Sugar Doesn't Disappoint

Last night Tim and I had breakfast for dinner. This happens often because it's just easy and cheap. It's better than the alternatives of having gone on a rampage in the kitchen and then peering out of the fridge and saying "lets eating icing for dinner." Icing on a spoon...YUM! This is one aspect where I am totally the child and he is the parent. I would love to eat pie for dinner. It has fruit in it so that's gotta count for something right? But what kind of mother would I be? Let's face it though. Sugar is awesome.

I was eating my bowl of cereal and some toast and within minutes there are all sorts of complexities that I should have been warned about. I should have been more prepared. Had more planning. I should have eaten my toast first before having poured the cereal. I don't like my toast cold, or soggy for that matter from the butter having soaked up the top dermis of bread. Like pancakes. You don't pour syrup all over the top cause then it's all soggy and gross within minutes like a toddler let it sit in his cheeks and get all slobbery and then put it on your plate. EW! You cut up the pancake and then dunk.

So there I am having made my cereal and toast at the same time. Scarfing down the bread like a wild beast before it gets cold and soggy and then as I turn to start my cereal...oh yeah, it's soggy too! What a pickle I'm in. All this soggy food and no time for enjoyment. Now, I'm thinking, if only I had cookies. I like them soggy! All milk soaked and crumbly, falling apart into sugary bliss the minute it's popped into my mouth. Cold, hot,..it doesn't matter. It's oh so good!
