Slacker AKA..Creative Genius!

That's what I feel like. I've seriously slacked on this blog the past month. I promise I will grab my journal and make a real post tomorrow cause I know that your lives will never be the same if I don't. Your just sitting there aren't you? Waiting, counting away the seconds until my next eagerly anticipated post because you have nothing better to do.

Seriously, kidding!

I have gotten so caught up in my other side projects that I've slacked on this one. I have many kettles brewing. I've had my hours cut at work, much like three fourths of the country and therefore have had to find part-time gigs to fill the gaps. This isn't working out well considering that people have a hard time wanting to hire somebody for one day a week.

SO, I finally made a decision last week to take matters truly into my own hands. I'm starting a store. An Etsy shop to be exact. I still have mega amounts of work to do before launch. Such as figuring out a name for my shop and chucking up a store policy and standard color palette and such, but the nice part is my education in Graphic Design will finally be put to some good use and I don't have to compete in a monkey suit and interview to do it. Whahoo! I'm really pretty excited. Can't you tell? I've also decided I will link it to another blog here so that I can be a selling fool. Ah the creative genius that I wield. (evil laughter ensue here.....)

Stay tuned!

Doodle 4 Google

I am a huge supporter of the arts in general. I was sent an email today about this contest that Google has in which kids from different age groups submit doodles for the Google logo. It was really cool to see, and each kid gives a reason as to why they drew what they did based on what their one wish for the world would be. I've included some of my faves so you can see what the hell I'm rambling about! I wish they had a category for adults...I want to do one!

This one is by Anagha Kangovi from Georgia:

This one is by Emerald Lu from Kentucky:

And this one by Zoe Brants from Washington:

Aren't they cool?! So, go check it out and vote for one!
